The Hanwag Makra Trek GTX walking boots from Hanwag are suitable for up to 3,000 metres of altitude, even on difficult terrain. They are certainly lightweight thanks to their Vibram Integral Light sole construction with low stack height, yet offer strong weather protection thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane. Due to their reduced cushioning, they are best suited for tours with little luggage.
